Vision
Southern Nevada Birding & Wildlife Trails Partnership promotes awareness, education, and conservation of wildlife and its habitat through strategies for sustainable tourism in rural Nevada, and distribution of maps and wildlife information. SNBWTP encourages the future enjoyment of southern Nevada by supporting the construction, designation, and protection of bird and wildlife watching areas. Project emphasis is in the rural areas of Southern Nevada, particularly within the counties of Clark, White Pine, Nye, and Lincoln.
Vision:
To see rich Southern Nevada areas recognized for their important bird habitats. Visitors will discover woodlands and wetlands filled with migrating birds, and various desert areas where birds have adapted to extreme temperatures and arid environments. Birders will return to Southern Nevada again and again to discover the trails and back roads offered by the Silver State.
Mission:
To develop and promote awareness of bird and wildlife watching opportunities by identifying and assisting in the development of key birding and wildlife sites in Southern Nevada’s rural communities, parks, and other wildlife areas. Support and encourage local conservation and stewardship activities.
Goals:
Support and develop events focused on birding in Southern Nevada.
Develop birding materials focused on important birding sites in Southern Nevada.
