Christmas Bird Counts in Southern Nevada

YOU can participate in the Southern Nevada CBC.  All eyes are needed, please come and join us! There will be a fee of $5 for each person per Bird Count that you participate in to cover the cost of compiling data and printing your name in the next CBC issue of American Birds.

Reservations are appreciated so we can plan ahead to cover the CBC areas properly. Bring food & snacks, water, wear layered clothing, and bring extra clothes to keep warm.  Contact the Leader for reservations or if you have any questions.

Henderson CBC: 12/17/09 Thursday 6:30am – 4:00pm

Be part of an American Tradition on one of the best birding days of the year. Meet at Denny’s on Warm Springs & Mark (SW corner). Leader: Je Anne Branca. Call 702-451-6843 for reservations. There will be a “compilation party “ at Je Anne’s afterwards. We will meet at Mountain View Club House, 148 Day Street (maps will be handed out in the morning). Bring food to share for after birding.

Corn Creek CBC: 12/19/09 Saturday 6:30am – 4:00pm

Join the Corn Creek Christmas Bird Count (a.k.a. Desert Game Range) which is the oldest Christmas Bird Count in Southern Nevada, started in 1942.  Compiler: Hermi Hiatt.  Leader: John Hiatt. Call 702-361-1171 for reservations and meeting location.

Muddy River CBC: 12/26/09 Saturday 6:30am – 4:00 pm
